I was born and raised in Turkey, and studied Applied Mechanical Engineering in my home town - Adana, in Cukurova University which is one of my country's most prestigious universities and accredditted by EU standards.

 

After my 4 years of service in Nurol Holding and contribution to many iconic projects, I moved on German facade company - Inoclad GmbH. Their management knew me from another conjoined project and they thought I would be productive with their organization. During two and half years I worked in Dammam, Dubai and Stutgard.

 

Then after I joined Limak Holding for Kuwait International Airport project.

After a year, in August2017, I turned back to Qatar with a Dutch origined steel fabrication company – Frijns Industrial Group. After my service of 2 years and 10 months I was unemployed becuase of pandemic corona. On June 5-2020, my contract is terminated. Although I continued remote support until late June, it was not quite effective. Then I understood the seriousness of the pandemic and continued my career goals in Turkey.
I enrolled some engineering lectures at Third Millennium Academy and at the same time I worked with Metek Construction shortly as my lectures are going on. Here I worked on parametric design and analysis of the cladding works and its substructure of the Senegal Stadium.  Once my role is completed with this project I totally concentrated on my lesson. These lessons are generally over FEA analysis and BIM including hand calculations in accordance with EUROCODES and Turkish Earthquake Regulations and software calculations including SAP2000, Solidworks, Ansys, IdeaStatica, Revit, Dynamo, SAP2000, Autodesk Robot. Since March 2021 I am also working as a free lancer engineer.

 

During my experiences in different companies, I played an important role in design /BIM departments highly integrated with fabrication and erection. I can summarize these roles by followings but not limited to…

  • Preparation of quantity reports at the early stages of the projects.
     

  • Preparation of 3D models of complex and non-conventional buldings including various softwares and scripts.
     

  • Coordination of these models with the models other disciplines
     

  • Joining design/BIM related client meetings, eliminating question-marks with both sides and preparation of animations/simulations to clear ‘’what’’ and ‘’how’’ type of questions as much as possible.
     

  • Monitoring and guiding the output of my team and their performance
     

  • Preparation or review of shop drawings and fabrication drawings.
     

  • Finite element analysis of some particular construction details.
     

  • Preparaion of G-codes for CNC machines and preparation of material / stock records.
     

  • Preparation of lifting plans and detailed animations of the lifting processes.
     

  • Preparation of site plans / crane plans and method statements.
     

  • Preparation of asbuilt drawings and reports.


Apart from these above, I always do brainstormings how to do things better and faster and I have never been ‘’I AM DOING WHAT I WAS TOLD– NO NEED FOR EXTRA’’ type of an employee. For instance, last 6 months of my service with Frijns Group, I have voluntarily joined Geotechnical Engineering Department to support them. During this side objective, I have prared detailed asbuilt presentations  to clear for everyone even they are not familiar with technicalities - HOW IT IS / HOW IT HAD TO BE.

 

I am very willing and able to relocate internationally or intercities.

 

By the help my foreign language based highschool and college education and my 10 years of experience in multi-national companies, I will never have foreign language related problem either in social or professioanal environment.
